Counseling for Those Navigating Grief, Loss & Life's Hardest Transitions

EMDR-Trained Therapy | Longmont, Colorado

You Don't Have to Carry This Alone

If you're navigating the grief of pregnancy loss, the ongoing heartache of infertility, or the weight of other significant losses, I want you to know that your experience matters. All of it.

I work with people who are facing some of life's most profound challenges. Losses that people don't always know how to talk about or make space for. Transitions that leave you wondering who you are anymore. Grief that doesn't follow a timeline or fit neatly into other people's expectations.

You might be here because you're tired of pretending you're okay. Or because you need someone who understands that healing isn't linear, and that you deserve support that honors the reality of what you're going through.

Whatever brought you here, I'm glad you're here.

This is a place where you can show up exactly as you are.

My Approach

I'm a humanistic therapist who is both warm and direct. I believe in building strong therapeutic relationships where laughter, tears, and truth all have a place. I'm not here to tell you how you should feel or to rush you through your process. I'm here to walk alongside you as you find your way back to yourself.

My goal is to help you gain insight about yourself, cultivate self-awareness, and reconnect with your authentic self. I work with your strengths and honor your pace, while also gently inviting you to explore the places that feel hardest to face.

I integrate multiple evidence-based modalities tailored to your unique needs, with a particular focus on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a powerful approach for healing trauma and grief at the nervous system level.

EMDR: Healing Beyond Talk Therapy

As an EMDR-trained therapist, I offer specialized treatment for processing trauma, grief, and painful life experiences that can feel "stuck" in your body and mind.

Sometimes talking about what happened isn't enough. Sometimes our bodies hold the pain in ways that words can't reach. EMDR works directly with your brain and nervous system to help process difficult memories and experiences so they no longer carry the same emotional weight.

EMDR is particularly effective for:

  • Processing pregnancy loss, birth trauma and any other perinatal-related trauma

  • Healing from sexual assault or abuse

  • Resolving grief that feels overwhelming or complicated

  • Addressing adverse childhood experiences that still impact you today

  • Moving through life transitions that have triggered old wounds

Many clients experience profound shifts in fewer sessions than they expected. This doesn't mean the work is easy, but it does mean there's hope for real, lasting change.

I also incorporate Somatic Experiencing to help you reconnect with your body's innate wisdom and regulate your nervous system. I am trained in the complete beginning level of Somatic Experiencing.

What to Expect

Building Our Foundation

In order for us to establish a solid therapeutic relationship, I ask that new clients attend therapy four weeks in a row to begin. This helps us get to know each other and allows us to quickly build some momentum that will support our work together. From there we can figure out what frequency of therapy would work for you both financially and emotionally.

I know committing to four weeks might feel like a lot, especially if you're not sure therapy is right for you. That's exactly why I offer a free phone consultation first, so we can talk through your concerns and see if we're a good fit.

The Timeline

The therapeutic process looks different for everyone. Therapy is not about quick fixes. It's about establishing a secure and therapeutic relationship so that you can integrate your work in a deep way that is lasting. Your results will depend on how you show up and choose to do the work. The more you put in, the more you will receive in return.

Some people come to therapy for just a handful of months to help them through difficult life transitions, while others incorporate it into their self care practice and continue therapy for years. There's no right or wrong way to do this. We'll work together to find what serves you best.

Investment

I work with individuals ages 16+. Sessions are $150 for 60 minutes.

I am licensed to provide therapy to residents of Colorado. Sessions are available in person in Longmont or via tele-health throughout Colorado.

Is EMDR right for me?

You might benefit from EMDR if you:

  • Feel stuck in grief or trauma despite trying talk therapy

  • Experience intrusive memories, flashbacks, or nightmares

  • Notice your body holds tension, anxiety, or pain related to difficult experiences

  • Want an evidence-based approach that can create change more quickly

  • Feel ready to process what happened rather than just manage symptoms

During our consultation, we can discuss whether EMDR is appropriate for your specific situation and goals. Not everyone is ready for EMDR right away, and that's okay. We can explore what approach might serve you best right now.
